I was an avid Vinted buyer and seller up until recently when things started to go wrong. 900 5-star reviews and I was happily selling things here and there that I no longer wanted, and buying the odd thing I liked.
Then I got scammed with a counterfeit item. Then I lost money on an item that arrived (apparently) as an empty envelope, despite sharing proof it was well packaged.
I started seeing and hearing of hundreds of cases far worse than mine, mainly around accounts being suspended, issues around pro accounts and the big one, shocking customer service. A lot of issues seem to stem from Vinted employing AI to handle 90% of situations.
I've seen people losing thousands of pounds and enduring endless stress trying to communicate with Vinted and get fair treatment based on the situation in hand, not a set of pre-defined AI rules that nearly always are irrelevant or not applicable.
So I launched sadvintedfaces.com, got in touch with CEO Adam Jay, and took the story to the media.
I won't stop until Vinted fixes this mess. That's my promise to you.
