Vinted CEO email: how to contact Adam Jay and Thomas Plantenga

What's public. What isn't. And the routes that actually get a response when Vinted's front line won't help.

Been banned or lost money on Vinted? Here's how to fight back: Complaint templates

The short answer

Vinted does not publish a CEO email address. That is a deliberate choice, not an oversight. The support model routes every complaint, including those addressed to named executives, back into the same automated queue that generated the problem in the first place.

If you have arrived here after being banned, scammed, or ignored by Vinted support, guessing an email address for a named executive will not change your outcome. The routes that do change outcomes are further down this page.

Who actually runs Vinted?

Vinted Group is structured with two named CEOs. Understanding which one is responsible for which side of the business matters if you want to be taken seriously.

Adam Jay, CEO of Vinted Marketplace

Adam Jay is CEO of the marketplace itself, the consumer product that users interact with. He joined Vinted from previous senior roles at Farfetch and eBay. He speaks publicly at events including London Tech Week and is quoted regularly in FashionNetwork, CNBC and TechCrunch on secondhand retail, US expansion and IPO plans.

His verified LinkedIn profile is at uk.linkedin.com/in/adjay. That is the only reliably public direct contact route.

Thomas Plantenga, Group CEO

Thomas Plantenga is Group CEO of Vinted UAB, the Lithuanian parent company. He led the business through its rise to a reported $9 billion valuation in June 2026. He has been public about Vinted's IPO readiness but has not, to date, made any public statement about the trust and moderation issues documented by users and press.

What we are asking Adam Jay and Thomas Plantenga to address publicly: the pattern of automated permanent bans issued without meaningful human review, the 68 documented ban-apologise-ban loops in our corpus, the counterfeit bans issued to sellers holding brand-verified authenticity proofs, and the frozen wallet balances that leave UK users unable to withdraw their own funds. The full research report collects the evidence.

Why emailing the CEO does not work

We tested this so you don't have to. Emails to plausibly-formatted CEO addresses at vinted.com typically bounce, route to the standard support queue, or generate no reply at all. LinkedIn messages to Adam Jay's inbox are not answered on complaint topics. The BBC's Rip Off Britain team, Watchdog, The Times and The Sun have all approached Vinted for comment during 2025 and 2026 investigations. The pattern of response is a brief statement from a corporate communications team, not from the CEO directly.

The system Vinted has built for user complaints is deliberately unreactive to individual pressure. It responds to external pressure, which is what the routes below apply.

The routes that do work

What Adam Jay has said publicly in 2026

Understanding the gap between executive statements and user experience helps journalists and regulators frame the story. In interviews during 2026 Adam Jay has emphasised:

None of these statements address the moderation, trust or GDPR failings documented by 2,554 UK users on this site. That is the reframe that makes press coverage land.
