Where to go when Vinted won't help
Directory of help services
Where to go when Vinted won't help. Save this. Every service has a specific job.
Sad Vinted Faces — sadvintedfaces.com
The community-run UK hub. Complaint templates, the Fix Finder to match your case to the right route, an evidence base of 7,200+ logged stories, and a community chat for live help. Start here to work out where to go next.
CEDR — cedr.com
Vinted's own official mediation scheme (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution). Free to use, cross-border, non-binding but creates a formal record Vinted has to engage with. Use it when Vinted support has closed your case and you want to force a proper review.
Resolver — resolver.co.uk
Free UK complaints platform. Logs your complaint with Vinted on your behalf, tracks every message, escalates automatically at each deadline, and hands you a full timestamped file for further escalation. Good for building a paper trail without opening ten separate email threads.
Poizon (Dewu) — poizon.com
The global resale platform whose in-house physical authentication has become a benchmark for genuine designer items. Use it when Vinted has flagged a real designer piece as counterfeit and you have no receipt or tags to prove authenticity. See also: Entrupy, Real Authentication, LegitGrails for photo-based certificates.
Your bank
Section 75 (credit card, purchase £100 or over) or chargeback (debit card, usually up to 120 days). The fastest route to getting your money back. Frame the claim as "service not received" or "goods not as described". Ask for a temporary credit while they investigate.
Financial Ombudsman Service — FOS submission portal
Free, independent, and binding decisions up to £455,000. Investigates Vinted Pay Limited (FCA firm reference 1037693, authorised 13 March 2026) directly for anything that touched your wallet balance, and investigates your bank if they refused a Section 75 or chargeback. Give the party 8 weeks to respond before you escalate.
Trading Standards — via Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133
Consumers can't report directly to Trading Standards. Everything goes through Citizens Advice, who log the case on the national database and route the pattern to the right Trading Standards office. Investigates aggregated patterns, so every report you file adds to the systemic case being built against Vinted. In Scotland: Advice Direct Scotland on 0808 164 6000.
Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk
The UK data protection regulator. If Vinted ignores or refuses your Subject Access Request, or makes a decision about your account with no human review, complain here. Free to use, and the ICO can take enforcement action against Vinted.
Competition and Markets Authority (market-wide problems only, not individual cases): gov.uk
The competition and consumer regulator. Since the DMCC Act 2024 it can investigate unfair practices and fine companies directly. Report patterns that affect many buyers and sellers, such as unexplained bans or unclear Pro account rules. It does not resolve individual disputes, so pair it with your own complaint.
Every escalation route has a full step-by-step in the FAQs below. Use the Fix Finder at /fix-finder to match your specific case to the right one.
