Help launch the newsletter and WhatsApp group
The campaign has grown from one survey response in June to over 3,600 stories from UK Vinted users. To scale the help I can give, I need proper infrastructure. Your donation makes it happen.
Why this matters right now
Every day I get 40 to 70 new stories. People whose accounts have been banned overnight. Buyers whose money is stuck in Vinted wallets they cannot access. Pro sellers who quit their day jobs and are now facing bills they cannot pay. Right now the only way I can respond is one-to-one over TikTok DMs and email. It does not scale.
Two things fix that: a proper email newsletter that delivers fortnightly updates, template letters and the latest Vinted responses to everyone who signs up; and a WhatsApp support group where people can share what has and has not worked in real time and back each other up.
Both cost real money to run properly. This crowdfunder pays for them.
The newsletter
Fortnightly, direct to your inbox. Campaign progress, Vinted and regulator responses, and practical help you can use today.
- Templates for chargebacks, SARs and Section 75 claims
- Latest press coverage and what it means for you
- Wins from the community: accounts restored, money recovered
- Advance notice of the next call to action
The WhatsApp group
Real-time peer support. Ask a question, get answers from people who have been through the same thing, moderated by me.
- Share what worked when you got your account back
- Cross-check whether Vinted's latest reply is standard-issue or a genuine review
- Quick heads-up when a journalist wants a case study
- Safe, moderated, no spam

A few questions people ask
Do I have to donate to get access?
No. Everything the campaign produces stays free. The newsletter is free to sign up to at sadvintedfaces.com/subscribe. The WhatsApp group will be free to join once it launches. Your donation just makes them exist.
Why not just run everything through Ko-fi?
Ko-fi is brilliant for one-off tips but not built for fortnightly newsletters or 100+ person support groups. To scale properly the campaign needs the right tools for each job. Ko-fi is where the money comes in. The newsletter and WhatsApp group are where the value goes out.
What happens if I do not hit the target?
Whatever you raise, I use towards the same list, in order. Newsletter first (that's the most urgent), WhatsApp group second, moderator honorarium last. Nothing is wasted. Nothing goes anywhere other than these two things.
Can I sponsor a specific bit?
Yes. If you or your company wants to specifically underwrite the WhatsApp moderator or the launch sequence, email me at camwarrilow@gmail.com and I will credit you (or not, if you would rather stay anonymous).
Is this tax deductible?
No. Sad Vinted Faces is a personal campaign, not a registered charity. Donations are gifts, not deductible expenses. If that matters for your circumstances, please factor it in.
How will I know how it's going?
Every time we hit a milestone I update this page and post an update on TikTok and Instagram. When we hit the target, I'll email everyone who's signed up with a launch date for both.
